Seemingly there is a new theme here- the last editorial I posted was entitled "Daydreaming," and this editorial from the October 2009 issue of W is "Dream Sequence." Shot by Paolo Roversi, this season's couture collections appear to be copied straight from the history books- Edwardian, rococo and 50s Balmain couture meld together in an intoxicatingly haunting and romantic story. Heavily smudged eyes and frizzy Gibson girl hair punctuate the luxurious gowns and high-necked white blouses.
