With her Marilyn-esque peroxide hair, bleached eyebrows and sky blue eyeshadow, Lara Stone is looking eerily like my favourite 1970s model, Donna Jordan, in this editorial in the new issue of W. The resemblance is unmistakable, especially when you compare the photograph of Donna on the right to the one of Lara directly below that- same wide-brimmed hat and attitude- and the eyeshadow is taken directly from Donna's French Vogue cover in 1970. I'm not always a fan of editorials that directly mimic older editorials or real people (like Harper's Bazaar's misguided Jennifer Aniston does Streisand cover this month), but I actually quite enjoy seeing Donna's style updated, though it will never be bettered.
