In the Long Island home of collector Muriel Karasik and her husband, designer Louis Bromante conceived an understated setting for art and obects of the Art Deco period.

An Indonesian peacock surveys the Dining Room, where lively 1920s figures by Preiss and Chiparus flank an opulent display mannequin.

A curving Living Room wall is a backdrop for (left to right) three figures by Chiparus, and others by Rivère, Zach and Tignays. On the table are a Rivère bronze and vases by Fauré.
