Photo of the Day: Christa Helm

Photobucket

Yesterday while I was looking for something totally insignificant on the Internet I came across the story of Christa Helm, a 1970s party girl and wannabe actress who was brutally murdered in 1977. Completely forgotten, it took a random ad clipping from 1974 to set one man, Steven Thompson, off on an investigation about her life and into the reasons why her only movie disappeared after its big premiere and why her murder is still not solved. The research he has done is incredibly interesting and I would recommend reading the story so far. He also has a blog that he updates with new findings.

  3. Hi. Just now noticed your post but I wanted to thank you for the plug. While the story has slowed drastically (partly due to the DNA evidence eliminating the prime suspects) I and now several others are still pursuing several avenues for info on both Christa's life and death. This story is far from over.
